Hey, I am doing a slide show for a strict, Christian homeschool group and I need Christian music. The slide show will include, duh, pictures with some video bits here and there. I want it to be cool. I don’t want anything to do with mourning, but I want it to be fun. Nothing too Relient K, but something between them and P.O.D. I don’t listen to Christian rock so can you please help me.
Thanks
Hey, um, do any of them have to do with learning/school?

If so whats your favorite group or band? I’ve liked Newsboys and they have some pretty good concerts. I’ve been to two of them and Toby Mac puts on some awsome shows.
“no they just take all these oldies and rock n roll songs and change the word “baby” or “sweetie” to “lord”, “jesus”, or “god”"
No they don’t.
Pillar was pretty cool
It seems like everyone asumes christian music is all the same. I love rock and its awsome that they can make rock songs with positive lyrics. Rap also because rap has became so negative now days.
To me the church hyms are boring. Not really my thing…If you want to spread christianity with todays generation you got to appeal to todays generation and trust me hyms don’t appeal to my generation. As long as you sending a positive message its all good. Rock, rap, hip hop, pop.

Do you think all secular music is wrong? There are the obvious bad music that uses foul language such as curse words and discrimination but what about music that is positive ? Can positive feel good music that does not glorify God really be bad? I was raised christian and I’ve always loved worship music and I think that kind of music will always be beautiful becuase it worshiping the lord but the more contemporary music I’ve never really got into. I have to admit there is a lot of cheesey christian bands and groups that are not good at all. I know they are praising the lord and all and thats all that matters but not all christian music is talented and just because its christian music does not mean you should feel obligated to listen to it. So I guess there is different styles of music for everyone. Going back to my question If I listen to some non-christian music is it really wrong?
When I say wrong I am referring to not having anything to do with Jesus and glorifying him. Clean music without the knowledge of him. This is for the people whio misunderstood my question.

I teach a group at church and am putting together a slideshow of our 5th graders for thier parents to view. Last year I put the show to the song, “in a blink of an eye” by MercyMe. It was well recieved. I am looking for something different this year and am stumped. I would like it to be meaning ful for the children and thier parents. Any ideas would be great.

Before I received the gospel (and even instances afterward) I would purposely dress so that I accentuated my figure. before I received the Holy Spirit I didn’t feel guilty about it, I actually felt more confident. But now if I want to look good in something I feel super guilty and perv minded cuz I know I know how to flatter my figure, but when I look in the mirror and it looks nice I get sad cuz I know I shouldn’t think like that. then I get frustrated because I do think like that.
When I try to dismiss it and not have a guilty conscience about it, I always have doubts, or else completely regret it.
What really bother me is, I’ve seen girls at church or in christian music groups who dress flattering (not sleazy) and they don’t seem to feel guilty at all. I don’t want to look like a hag, I’m only 24 and at the same time I don’t want to feel like I’m looking for attention either.
How do you women feel about you choice of clothing? do you struggle with the same things? Men: how do you feel about christian women who dress in well fit clothing?
